Ahead of the various party primaries leading to the 2024 governorship election in Edo state, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Hon. Godsent Felix Akhabue has formerly flagged off his consultations to herald his quest to contest the governorship of Edo state, come 2024 election.

Hon. Godsent Felix Akhabue, popularly called Jofel, was at his base before his kinsmen at
Úkpénû Ni’Éká, community in Ekpoma, Esan west local government area, where he formally made his intention to contest the governorship known to them, thus seeking their prayers and support for the actualization of his dream to serve Edo people in a governorship capacity.

While addressing his kinsmen, Hon Felix Akhabue, said Edo state needs a focused leadership with a heart of gold, capable of growing the people and the state, a quality he said is not alien to him.

“I am here before you, my people and kinsmen, to formally inform you of my intention to contest the governorship of our state. I believe that I must first present my dance steps to you before taking them outside. I need your prayers and support for us to actualize this project as a people.

“I am today promising you that I will be a responsible ambassador of yours as well as give unto the people of Edo state responsible and quality leadership that will take our dear state out of the woods into progressional prosperity.

While receiving Hon.Felix Akhabue, the Odionwele of Úkpénû Ni’Éká community, Pa. Itua Ékpúdà who was represented by Mr. Éhiárékhián Ékpúdà prayed that God and ancestors of the community will make the journey to Osadebey Avenue much more easier to Jofel than imagine.

The elders of the community also enjoined Hon Felix Akhabue, to continue his consultation while promising that they as a people would support him to ensure his victory.

Hon. Felix Akhabue was accompanied on the consultation trip by close family members, political and business associates among others.
