by The star contestant for the Governorship position in the coming 2024 Edo gubernatora election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, JP, aka JOEFEL on Friday 17th of November received prayers and blessings from his kindred to soar triumphantly in the race.
The gathering which was like a family meeting and was hosted by the Òdiónwele of Ùkpénù Ni’Èkà, Pa. Itua Èkpùdà at his ancestral residence attracted all the men, women, and youths of the kindred/clan.
In his declaration, Joefel appreciated his people for always stood by him at every call. He told them that he was at home to inform them about his desired and convintion to contest, win and be the next governor of Edo State come 2024. He assured His people that he is seriously prepared, but needed the blessings of God through their prayers as his parent to spur him on.
The former ALGON National President intimated his people that before he would launch out to meeting the party leaderships, delegates, and the electorates across the nooks and crannies of Edo State to solicit their support, nomination and votes, he felt it necessary to first come receive the parental prayers to move on. He also informed them that he would be meeting the entire Ùkpènù community the next day before launching out fully.
JOEFEL, the Edo state Former Commissioner for Wealth Creation, cooperatives and empowerment narrated to his Kindred the extent of qualification both from academic, public and private leadership experiences that he have possesses.
The Chirman of Uda Micro Finance Bank Ltd assured his Kindred that He was not going to fail nor bring shame to them, but would make them prouder even beyond the experiences they saw from him during his tenure as a Local Government Council Chairman. He therefore requested for their prayers, blessings, support and vommitments throughout the whole processes leading to the nomination, election and beyond.
Thereafter, the Elders took turn to pray for obviously enthusiastic Felix Akhabue, who they blessed emotionally, and assured him of their support, continue prayers, and backings in the mission which they described as going to be a triumphant victory. The representative of the Odiónwele, Mr. Èhiàrékhiàn Èkpùdà who coordinated the gathering took time to pour emotional and obviously sincere prayers upon Felix Ehiguese and his wife Magdalene Akhabue. This was followed by the women who also took turn to offer their motherly prayers, and the youths were not left out in the prayer section.
High point of the meeting was the songs of assurances and victory that rented the gathering from the People.
