by As the former Chief Medical Director of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH), Prof. Sylvanus Okogbenin lays father to rest, Edo Governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguse Akhabue JP aka JOEFEL has commiserated with the family, and prayed God to rest the soul of the late Elder D.S.E. Okogbenin in blissful eternity.
In his condolence message delivered at the funeral ceremony which took place at the Okogbenin ancestral home in Ubiaja, the Governorship hopeful described the death as an evitable end of every mortal, and God’s supreme authority on all that he created.
He noted that the deceased has left a good legacy, especially the well nurtured children as exemplified in the former ISTH-CMD, Prof. Sylvanus Akhalufo Okogbenin who is a Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and His wife, Dr. Mrs. E. Okogbenin who is also a Consultant Mental Health and Behavioural Physician.
“Death is an inevitable end for every mortal, and God’s supreme authority on all that he created, But the Lord cares deeply when His loved ones dies” Psalm 116:15. I encourage you to be strong in the Lord.
“My wife, family and the entire JOEFEL-4-Governor-2024 team, join the family to pray that God grants the departed eternal rest, and comfort your family at this time of grief” he stated.
He thanked God for preserving their late father to a ripe age, and prayed for comfort to the family.
The well attended ceremony, attracted dignitaries across the State including; Captains of Industries, Politicians, Academicians, Medical professionals, Traditional authorities, and others.
